The first thing that broke was the tab on the battery cover. Annoying, but I can handle a strip of tape to hold it up. The remote worked great until the plastic end of the battery connector broke. I took apart the remote control to try to salvage it. Tried to glue 4 pieces together, worked for a while. As a result, I had to carefully glue several times. The brackets holding the front and back of the remote broke after multiple attempts to access the broken innards. The plastic of the remote control is simply brittle. Of course I tried to fix it several times which resulted in more breakages so I guess it's me. I've tried to be cheap when it comes to commonly used devices and I've tried to stay cheap without buying a better remote. Now I'm going to buy a more durable remote as I can't keep it with the strap anymore.
