Reliable, affordable small projector for personal use

Overall, I was quite impressed with the performance of this projector considering the low price ($160 at the time of this review), which puts it in an entry-level range . level projector in its class. I wanted to use it with an Xbox and watch movies outside in good weather and managed to do both. After checking the projector I found the following: PICTURE QUALITY. The photos for this review were taken in what I felt was the best location for my conditions (tiny apartment). Images are projected from a distance of approximately 138 cm onto a white-painted drywall, mounted on a standard camera tripod as perpendicular to the wall as possible. The image was 65 inch equivalent. TV screen. Getting the projector in the best possible position is really important because while there are manual focus and vertical keystone corrections, these don't have much play, meaning a very small adjustment will result in a significant change in the projected image. The lens looks like pretty good glass, which is impressive considering the lenses on the older models are more expensive than this entire projector. At longer viewing distances, however, one is repeatedly torn from balance, even with the best focus. You can have sharpness in the center of the image, but the edges lose some of the sharpness. If you adjust the focus that the edges are sharp, the center moves away a bit. It's not as noticeable in the mid-range. Note that the photos of the games are taken with the Xbox One X. This projector has no issues other than a little text, but watching Netflix was fine. I would use it with an Xbox for casual gaming, but it's great for video streaming. Note that the native resolution is 1280 x 720p, but 1920 x 1080p is supported. SOUND: The built-in speaker is pretty good for such a compact projector. The video in this test uses the internal speaker and was recorded on an iPhone. You can connect a Bluetooth speaker if you need more volume. BRIGHTNESS: A rating of 500 ANSI (3rd 600 lumens) doesn't sound like much on paper, but this projector is bright enough for everyday use. I wouldn't say it would suffice for an ambient light business presentation or in a classroom setting. You don't have to turn your space into a black box to use this projector, but closing the curtains would help. SOFTWARE: This is a smart projector that can connect to Wi-Fi and stream. The YouTube app didn't work 100%, but the browser worked fine. I won't be using these apps very often to be honest, but it's nice to see they're there. If for some reason I only had one projector, everything would be fine. NOTES ON USE:* I have connected a bluetooth mouse, making menu navigation much easier.* You can also connect a Bluetooth keyboard and typing is even easier*. This projector is mounted on a tripod, but you can also mount it on the ceiling and flip the image.* You should definitely install this projector because it is very light and easy to move. B+ It will be difficult to find a better projector at this price. PROS: + LED drive (lamps do not need to be replaced, works cheap) + 500 ANSI bright enough for personal everyday use + Low noise + Installation possible, * You should definitely install this projector because it is very light and easy to move.
