They say these artificial plants are for an aquarium and they'd be fine for that, but I bought them for my pond. In the summer I grow water lilies and other plants, but in the cold months the fish still want to hide somewhere. I use these plastic plants to cover them. That's about the minimum height for my large pond. This color stands out as the plant is placed alongside others on an underwater shelf. When I received it there was a smell coming from the plastic. I hosed the plant off and left it in the sun for a few days and it was gone and then I dunked it in water. The price of $11 is affordable.
