I have a lot of digital scales and bought these for coffee because I just wanted the scale and timer in one place and they were small and cheap. I liked the LED digits, not the backlit LCDs. The scale performs excellently in every respect and more than lives up to expectations. It comes with a removable rubber screen to protect the weight platform from spills. I was skeptical about the cover at first, but after pouring boiling water wrong a few times, I think I like the cover. The scale also comes with a small spoon for stirring coffee grounds (a la James Patterson's YouTube video), which is a nice touch for coffee lovers. accurate and my scale was correct for each weight without being indecisive or fussy. The buttons are electronic and about as sensitive as an iPhone touch screen with a protective film. The scale comes with a removable plastic screen protector that the manufacturer expects the owner to remove, but I left it on to protect against scratches as it doesn't affect touch sensitivity. The scale timer will automatically turn off after about 10 minutes if you forget it. This is a drip coffee timer, so 10 minutes is enough for three times. For the price, it's a good no-frills package, but it's intended to be used as a coffee scale, not an all-purpose kitchen scale.
