This digital WOW! I don't know why I waited so long to go digital. Used it on a BBQ, it was dark and I used a flashlight to look at the light. Then I remembered it has a built in light! I push the button and within a few seconds I see the temperature. It is no longer necessary to insert the entire rod. The tip will give me some reading. Very convenient. The jackknife style is a great feature. I open it, turn it on. Close it, turn it off. Very satisfied.
