Review on Schaefer Hinged Fairlead Stainless Bearing by Badpuppy Warton

We have 2 of these to lift the boat on our 48ft catamaran. They do the job we expected, but we didn't expect them to rust everywhere! We thought it was high quality stainless steel, but it's not. We are working to find a replacement for her. It looks like most of the rust is coming from the ball bearings in the wheels. I use a rust spray to remove the rust and then spray wax in and around it to try to suppress the rust. I also used CRC to try. They make the problem worse by trying to solve the problem. I would say if they use Torlon balls they might have something of value.
