The only shoes my 89 year old mother will wear
My 89 year old mother lives in a nursing home and is at high risk of falls and fractures due to mobility issues and osteoporosis (a disease of thin bones). . The New Balance WW577 women's hiking shoes with Velcro are the only shoe brand that will wear them. She is 4'10" and weighs 95 pounds and uses a walker that looks taller than she actually is. She is comfortable in New Balance shoes and loves to walk to stretch her legs .Size 6 wide (C/D) leaves enough room for her bones while still supporting the rest of her small feet.This is the second pair of these shoes I've bought for her and I'm grateful this style always still available from Revain to protect Mama.
