Review on πŸ”§ FloTool F3NC 3.5 GPM: Efficient Non-Conductive Fuel Filter for Optimal Performance by Kevin Henry

Gets big chunks but not sure about water

I actually returned this particular item and repurchased an identical item from a local seller. "Test" out of the box - fill 1/3 with water. According to the instructions, water should not flow (which is what their advertisement says). I've been using this for a while, pumping "old" gasoline from my generator back into a container for reuse in my cars. I didn't want dirt in the tanks contaminating my jugs or the car's tank. For this purpose it seems to work well. Small particles are easily trapped. However, I've been using this filter for a couple of weeks and then finally came across the advice to "test" it with water. I've also watched a few YouTube videos of people removing ethanol from their gas just by adding water, leaving it on the bottom and draining that part. This got me wondering if water in the fuel would have the same effect and if I could use this filter funnel to trap it. it is about 1/3 full (well past the beginning of the element). The water did not gush, but flowed out in a steady stream. In general. I would say that under certain conditions this funnel can retain water, but that is not correct.

Pros
  • Protects against engine stall or system failure
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
