Review on Immerse Yourself In Hi-Fi Sound With Aiwa Prodigy-1 In-Ear Earbuds by Marco Maurer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Unusual purchase best in my review

I have used these headphones for less than a week. Hence, I'm not going to comment on durability or material quality, nor give scores in those categories. Sound quality may not be the best bet for a Samsung S8 user who listens to music with heavy distorted guitar riffs or beats on high volume. Hence, my opinion on sound quality is also really niche. I'd give it a in a range between 3.5 and 4.3, depending on what type of music. But again, it's almost impossible to give objective sound evaluation due to so many subjective determinants. What I'm giving 5 stars for is primarily for the surprisingly friendly customer service. Since I did not particularly liked the sound, considering my specific preferences, I decided to return with a refund. However, I believe these headphones would be a perfect match for a budget headphones for 95 % of other music subgenres on this planet. As I was completing my return, I've asked if I could still return and get refund, if I've lost my pouch with extra ear cushions, which was the case at the moment. They said that it's ok, and they will refund your product and you don't have to return any items. At first, after reading that, I thought they have misspelled something or used odd sentence structures and I'm not understanding something. I, to check on my shocked understanding, asked if they really meant what I've initially understood in their response, and they said that yes, I understood it correctly. This is the most bizarre and pleasantly surprising refund transaction I've ever had and I'm glad these guys let me have it. So yeah, a unique customer service, to be honest. And so, I've received my refund and I still have them.Update on 03/17/2019: my right earplug is not working. I've been using them for about 1.5 months. I've located the point of malfunction, which was the connection point of the jack with the cord. I've been using them like any other headphones I had, with maximum gentleness - not ripping them out by the cord, not constantly putting the jack and cord connection point in highly mangled position and not submerging them into any liquid or any other extreme for the mechanical+electrical conditions. So yeah, given such lifetime and customer service, I'll have to decrease the 5 star score to 4 star score.

Pros

Cons
  • Not sweat or water-resistant
