Worth every penny on my review.

I've been a fan of Skull C@ndy for years. Recently it's become more and more difficult to find that brand earbuds in a $40-$50 range. In the past those have lasted a few years. I remember owning Aiwa products in the late 90s- early 00s. I figured based on the reviews I'd buy a pair. I'm really glad I did. These did not disappoint. Rich full bass, warm tones. Live recordings sound like you are sitting in the audience. Very impressed. These will now be my "go to" earbuds from now on. Seriously…

Pros
  • CRYSTAL CLEAR CALLS - The noise-rejecting microphone and inline control allows you to take calls and control playback without getting your phone out.
Cons
  • Overemphasis on bass, lacking in overall sound balance

They build a great product and stand by it! Thanks Jimmy!

Purchased a pair in May. They arrived with a note stating these are the first wired earbuds they built. It also asked me to "please break these” and let us know where they failed. These sound wonderful and are comfortable which served my purpose. As to breaking then, well the cable did break in September. On Friday evening of Labor Day, I went to the Aiwa website, Contact Us and explained what happened. In less than an hour, Jimmy from Aiwa replied asking my address. Less than 5 minutes, Jimmy…

Finally, something GREAT for a fair price.

I'm amazed that Aiwa was able to put this much sound into a set of earbuds. Total separation of the highs, mids, and lows with zero distortion. Very easy to get to an 'above average' volume, and there are still a few clicks of more volume that are available in case you need it. The tangle-free cord is convenient and it has a nice hidden collar you slide up from the button that allows you to tighten the cord "V" under your chin. I had the best fit and performance with the smallest silicone ear…

  • Aiwa
Cons
  • No noise-cancellation feature

Best earphones under $200, and they cost less than $50

I listen to some iTunes music on my 6s+ and it sounded like garbage (compressed music only sounds good in crappy headphones/earphones) So I new I needed to play from a better source.I used my Pioneer high resolution player and played some lossless, then aiff 96khz, 192khz and some DSD.You need uncompressed music to listen with these earphone, if not, you will hear all the crackling from compressed.Bass is a little too much for me, but you can move the earphones around a little bit and it will…

Great sound, so-so fit

So, I've had there for a few days now. I usually don't spend a lot on earbuds because I tend to lose them. But I wanted to try something a bit more upscale to see if I noticed better sound quality. Well, gotta say.the sound great. Very clear and sharp to my ears. With cheap buds, I'm constantly fiddling with EQ settings to make them sound decent. With these, I'm using almost flat EQ (just a slight touch of bass boost) and I haven't changed from that. Big improvement for all types of music. As…

Working great 6+ months later

I've been using these the last 6+ months for music, phone calls, podcasts and when traveling.Durability is crucial to me. These earbuds have been able to survive my abuse of road biking, several drops, being carried in a bag with several other items and getting really tangled. In fact the first thing I saw when I opened these was a note encouraging me to USE the headphones. Exercise with them, take them when traveling, use them outside in the garage, on a cold hike, etc. This really stood out to

  • Not comfortable for long-term wear

More than 2 years and still going strong

I've been using these since Dec 2019 without any problems . These are hands down the best sounding things I've put it in my ear not just for the price , I have sony wh-1000xm4 and Aiwa Arc-1 also and both sounds amazing but I still prefer the sound of these ones . buy it while aiwa still makes the wired earbuds.

Pros
  • With a multi-functional button located on the earbud, you can easily manage volume, playback, and even answer phone calls without having to fumble with your device
Cons
  • Bulky charging case difficult to carry around

As Advertised for my opinion

I was hesitant about buying these. But have been pleased so far. The sound is very good.I like that.Sounds better than some more expensive earphones I own. Looks like they may stand behind their product against damage and wear as well. Jury is still out. Give em a try. I did.

Pros
  • ALL-DAY COMFORT - The ergonomic, feather light, earbud design includes both foam and silicone ear tips to ensure a stable and comfortable fit.
Cons
  • No microphone for phone calls

It's like Manna from Heaven

Well the day has come and I can say they stood up for a little while and poof it broke. Well it still plays but one of the buds is now open and I will have to glue it back together. Hey AIWA it would be best to use a stronger glue to keep this guy together. I didn't put it through much but just changing the silicone tip and it split open. You guys at AIWA say we should rough it up to test it's durability but I don't know how that will hold up if the glue is so weak. It still sounds great (thank

Pros
  • Thanks to the noise-cancelling feature, you'll be able to focus on your music and podcasts without any interference from outside sounds
Cons
  • No application to customize sound

Best Earbuds UNDER $150. and they cost $30.

When I placed these earbuds in my ears. I don't think I removed them again for several hours. Some headphones play music, some headphones play music pretty well. But these. play life. They play emotions, energy, and empathy. There is a richness to the tracks that isn't even attempted in other headphones. I honestly feel like if Aiwa can make these sound like this and only charge $30. Why does Bose sell their garbage for so much money? The Aiwa Prodigy ear buds will make ANY Bose headset sound…

Pros
  • With a wireless range of nearly 10 meters, you can enjoy your music without being tethered to your device
Cons
  • Poor value for money

Audiophile sound, not price.

All plastic constriction with no obvious build quality issues. Comes with a in-line mic with 1 button to play/pause or pickup/hang up. The plug, strain relief, and earbuds have this weird quarter of a circle shape. Feels light in the ear because of the all plastic construction. Nothing special or out of the ordinary for the price. The sound is definately out of the ordinary for the price range. Without going into a esoteric audiophile talk, the sound is organic, fun and lively. Not perfect but…

Pros
  • With up to four hours of continuous playtime, you can listen to your favorite tunes and podcasts without any interruptions
Cons
  • Easily falls out of ears during physical activity

Unusual purchase best in my review

I have used these headphones for less than a week. Hence, I'm not going to comment on durability or material quality, nor give scores in those categories. Sound quality may not be the best bet for a Samsung S8 user who listens to music with heavy distorted guitar riffs or beats on high volume. Hence, my opinion on sound quality is also really niche. I'd give it a in a range between 3.5 and 4.3, depending on what type of music. But again, it's almost impossible to give objective sound evaluation

Pros
  • The Aiwa Prodigy-1 earbuds are compatible with both Android and iOS devices, so you don't have to worry about compatibility issues
Cons
  • Not sweat or water-resistant

Great sound, but on my review.

The sound and comfort are great. Both times that I’ve had these they are awesome for 2 or 3 months before they started crackling.

Pros
  • TANGLE-FREE - Why waste time untangling cables? The tangle-resistant, flat 3.5mm cable allows you to connect in seconds.
Cons
  • Compatibility issues with certain devices

Amazing sound quality

replaced a pair of earbuds that my dog ate. These sound better than the expensive pair I replaced. Sound quality is amazing, especially for the price. Best sounding earphones I have ever owned. Clarity is amazing.

Pros
  • These earbuds come in sleek black and silver color options that will complement any style
Cons
  • No touch controls, only buttons on earbuds

Fantastic sound, exceptional warranty

When it comes to headphone/ earbuds, I’m super picky. These sound as good as my Bose for a fraction of the price. I’m also pretty rough with my headphones so their 3 year, no questions asked, warranty makes it a no brained purchase…

Pros
  • The Aiwa Prodigy-1 earbuds come with a 1-year warranty, ensuring that you're covered in case of any defects or issues
Cons
  • Incompatible with older Bluetooth technology

Recommended! Solid earbuds with a few caveats

What I liked:- Comfortable tips. I use the foam ends when riding my bike; otherwise the large silicone tips fit snugly in my ears and block out excess noise- Good musicality. Instruments and channel sounds come through much clearer compared to my old earbuds- Inexpensive. Aiwa set a decent price point. Next level up, expect to spend at least 70-80 dollars minimum for an enthusiast pair of IEMs.- Low-microphonics-prone wiring. Unlike other earbuds I've used, I like the soft texture of Aiwa's…

Pros
  • Charge the earbuds quickly and easily using the included charging cable for maximum convenience
Cons
  • Long charging time

It's an Aiwa product. Need I say more?

I am a serial Aiwa customer. I have the Exos-9 premium bluetooth speaker, the ARC-1 headphones and now I have 2 pair of these Prodigy-1 hi-fi earphones. To call this gear exceptional is like saying the Empire State building is tall. Awesome customer service department, unrivaled warranties, sturdy equipment and sound that will melt you right into your favorite chair. You should hear how Chopin's nocturnes sound on these babies. Oh, and did I tell you how good rock music sounds on these and all…

Pros
  • The built-in microphone allows you to take phone calls without having to take off your earbuds
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with music streaming services

Excellent earphones

These earbuds' sound fidelity is very good. It took me a while to figure out that the large, foam covers are the most comfortable among all the different sizes that were provided. As far as comfort, they are not as good as Apple's, but they sound a lot better

Pros
  • The charging case provides additional battery life for longer listening pleasure
Cons
  • Uncomfortable to wear with glasses or certain hairstyles
