Magnets were strong enough but kept trying to adjust the position of the bars on the door resulting in the smaller end of the bar sticking out of the larger fell out end and the whole thing fell apart. I couldn't adjust the curtain vertically to my liking, nor could I get the width and height of the magnets even though the rods kept sliding apart. There is usually a flexible pad at the large opening of an adjustable curtain rod that provides a slight tension and prevents the curtain rod from sliding down but not onto it. Not to mention that the packaging sealed by the stapler shows that they have already been used and sent back. Careless, Revane! I returned them.
