Excellent locking knob. I suggest you know how to solder as it gets the LED working. The first one I got didn't work properly, but Revain replaced it immediately and I was able to finish the job. The LED shines brightly and illuminates my entire cabin. If you want to reduce power, use a built-in capacitor to increase resistance to battery current. I connected this and a similar button in a different color to a series of LED modules installed on the trunk of a Thule XT for my car. The button is almost entirely metal. Great spring and the colored LED is pretty nice. You will need to drill a 3/8" hole in the dash or wherever you install it. Wiring this unit is the trickiest thing in the car as you have to remove the entire interior. I installed this on my center console and after finding a way to route the wiring I ended up getting cuts and scratches.
