This technology seems to have come a long way since I bought the iPhone 6 glass protector. This one is perfect for the new iPhone XsMax, and it actually covers all the edges, even the curved glass part, which is said to be 'impossible to close', which is why many glass covers are understandably smaller than the screen you stick them to. . This happened on my iPhone 6/6s+ and iPhone 8+. Usually the tote bag overhang was high enough that this wasn't a problem, but it looked a bit odd. THIS new design features an extended synthetic BLACK silicone layer that extends to the curved edge to fully protect the expensive 6.5" OLED touchscreen! INSTALLATION NOTES. negative curvature on the product. That way the glass won't stick to the farthest 3/8 inch or so around the phone when installing. But as long as no dust collects there, the glass eventually becomes completely flat after about 15-20 hours and the bumps then adhere perfectly. Glass covers go well with almost any iPhone case as long as there aren't any oddly curved back edges trying to fill in the curved part. Most cases I've tried just snap into place and the lip basically goes straight up, in line with Apple's accessory standards guidelines. Thus, your iPhone is fully protected from minor bumps or scratches. The perfect accessory, a must-have.
