The water was not filtered at all!
I use a Brita jug at home and needed a new filter. I went with this one and found that the water flows straight through the filter after installation and not before when the filtration took about 10-15 minutes. I use a large Brita pitcher with a small tip, and it usually takes a while to filter a few gallons of water - after the entire pitcher was filled, the water ran straight through (instead of dripping like before). I tasted the water after it was filtered and it still tasted like tap water.
