So this thing is cool. It's made out of what I can only compare to pool liner. It's a thick flexible plastic with built in handles and very strong connection points. I like the included mat as I've seen it help keep it in place over a long ride. The trick is to read the instructions. It mentions that the plastic lip folds over the zip which gives more protection so even when it rains there really is no water entry. While using it in the rain, what happened at the end was that the water ran through the seam and just drained off. No leaks around tapholes, just sealed.
