I've had this for a few years now and it has worked reliably for me with a 2GB Microdrive and CF card. faster reading, but it could be the microdisk itself - 2GB is a lot of data and I tend to download hundreds of images at a time. The included stand is useless. I've used it on two XP Pro machines and don't need to install anything other than plugging a cable into a USB port. It's easy to work with him. Memory cards are displayed in My Computer as additional hard drives. I've noticed people reporting problems using smart memory cards and would not recommend using this reader.
