Very good with a fast drill

Most of the tutorials and how-to videos I've watched for cutting pocket hole plugs say that faster drills and slower feed rates result in cleaner cuts. They stress the importance of corded drills, not cordless ones. So I looked for the best drill I could find for the job. I've found that corded drills aren't necessarily faster than battery-powered ones. However, the fastest drill I could find, the Bosch GBM 6 RE, is truly corded. This picture shows my Kreg KPHJ 720 Pro Jig Combination Machine and KPC 1020 Custom Plug Cutter Bit cutting corks in spruce with this 4000 RPM drill bit. I'm happy about this result. In fact, I find my plugs to be cleaner than most I've seen in videos taken with slower drills. My guess is that the Kreg KPC 1020 Custom Plug Cutting Bit is capable of cutting very clean corks with a very fast bit and a very slow feed rate. At first I was a bit concerned that such a high RPM and such a slow feed would result in overheating. a little. As a precaution, I spray a Teflon-based chisel to reduce friction and I never use it without a vacuum attached to reduce heat build-up. They seem to be working. When I check with my finger, the bit doesn't get too hot even after prolonged use. I've cut about 250 end caps so far and the bit works the same as day one, but I have no idea when it will dull. I have a spare just in case. Overall I'm happy with the quality of the plugs cut out, but I'm wondering if I'd be as happy with a drill bit that spins at about 1/2 RPM on my Bosch GBM 6 RE corded drill bit.
