Review on DEWALT D180002 Standard Electricians Bi Metal by Darin Schaffer

I have had this kit for over 2 years now and have used it many times on wood, MDF, drywall and several times on metal both by hand and on a drill press. As usual with this type of simple bimetallic hole. Saws, don't expect miracles - they will cut through almost anything but leave no smooth surface, get very hot and it can be painful to remove the washer from the saw. Hole saws are almost the same and have the same mandrel size so they are interchangeable - you won't notice any difference between them and similar ones from Milwaukee, Lenox, Bosch etc. If you want more power you'll need to buy a different type of hole saw - there are better hole saws with carbide teeth that leave a cleaner cut and don't get very hot, but they're more expensive, for example. The mandrels are well made and easy to screw on and off. The box is pretty solid too. Overall I recommend this kit, just remember these are basic hole saws and nothing more.
