It was almost half the price of the Avermedia 3.0- Device I tried received all signals with no visible bands. It also has fairly low latency, comparable to my much more expensive Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 which doesn't accept a 1080p60 signal. Avermedia didn't get a 1080p24 signal on my Mac, but when I switched the camera to 1080p60 it actually worked, although there were a lot of streaks in the gradients. This HornetTek worked much better for me. It's also recognized by Zoom, Skype, Quicktime, and just about every app I've used that can open a webcam.
