Review on Walker Products 245-1095 Mass Air Flow Sensor 3.7 Inch - Enhanced Performance and Accuracy by Steven Loy

The MAF was easy to replace on my 2008 Jaguar XJ8L but failed after about 18 months! When I say it failed, I'm not talking about issuing CEL. This MAF suffered a catastrophic electronics failure, resulting in a total loss of power; no throttle response and a long list of fuel trim related warnings and codes. The car came to a stop. After HOURS of diagnosis, this MAF was identified as the only problem the car had. All fuel trims and codes returned to normal after replacing this MAF with a new one. In almost three decades of working with cars, I have never experienced such a complete MAF failure. The electronics in this sensor are dangerously bad. I am very glad that this sensor failed at high speeds on a small country road and not on a busy highway.
