This is great for keeping my truck battery charged, but I just learned to use it as a USB solar charger. Sockets allow you to plug your solar charger into one socket and your USB car adapter into another. You don't have to connect anything to the cigarette lighter. Current flows from the solar panel to one outlet and powers the USB adapter in the other outlet.
