I received this product because my cat is dark gray and difficult to see at night. She's always sneaking around at night and I have to constantly try not to step on her and hurt her. Now everything has changed. Now I can see her from across the room and always know where she is. It's almost too bright when you first turn it on, but I'm not mad about it. The light is slowly dimmed at night and it still shines in the morning. I took her to a dark basement to check on her and in the morning it was still light enough to see her. The only downside to this collar is that it takes several hours to charge every day. So if your pet doesn't like that you remove and replace the collar every day, then this product is not for you. My cat doesn't seem to mind that I remove and change her collar every day and she seems to enjoy the light around her neck at night. This helps her settle in and lead a nocturnal lifestyle as nature intended. Overall this is a great product, well made, strong and very useful.
