Review on 💻 Noctua NH-U12S TR4-SP3, High-Performance CPU Cooler for AMD sTRX4/TR4/SP3 (120mm, Brown) by James White

Noctua's air cooler is one of the very few that claims to work with Threadripper and do so with no problem. My current setup is a 1st gen chip with 12 cores and 24 threads and idles around 20 degrees with this unit. It comes with optional hardware so you can add another 120mm push-pull fan, or swap both out for ARGB fans or higher-flow fans with easy-to-use spring clips. There are also grommets on the corners of the fan and an optional kit for adding an extra fan. The fan connector is standard but also has an extension that allows you to connect it to 3 or 4 pin headers. It fits in a standard Lian Li medium tower case with a tempered glass side panel and the ends of the heat pipes do not touch the glass. The original fan was quiet and the included high quality thermal paste. The heaviest load I've ever experienced is restarting DOOM with all settings at max and the core temperature never went above 38C.
