Review on Vibrant & Versatile: Prismacolor 92808HT 🎨 Scholar Colored Pencils, 60-Count for Artists & Students by Shantel Griffin

I'm a fan of Prismacolor Premiers and Faber Castell Polychromos but thought for the price I'd try a set of these just to see what they are are similar. I was impressed with the quality of these pens. They're not as smooth or as densely pigmented as art-grade pencils, but they're a few HUGE notches up compared to budget pencils. They lay down fairly smoothly, have decent color density, layer and blend effortlessly, and best of all, they have a very similar color range to Premieres. The quality of the wooden boxes was good. There were only a few pencils with a slightly off-centre lead, which was easy to sharpen and didn't break when pressure was applied. I wouldn't rely too much on the lightfastness of these pens for artistic work, but they would be a good choice for coloring or student work. So in summary, if you can't afford the art quality pens you have. looked at it, I think it's a very good alternative. Best of all, you can gradually switch to primers as those pins wear out. The colors are very similar, some even have the same name. So when you've worn them out you can replace them with purchases of readily available Prismacolor Premier pens in similar colors from a discount art retailer and you end up with a very nice set of fine art quality pens.
