The green light indicates that the surge protector is working. This compact device measures 3.8 x 2.2 x 3.5 inches and weighs approximately 7 ounces. If you need additional outlets, this inexpensive device should fit your needs. One caveat: I read in the manual that the surge protector is finite and can only last two or three years. After this time, the manufacturer recommends replacing this device with a new one to protect your electronics from overvoltage.
