Practical for at home and when travelling!

I'm always looking for extension cords or surge protectors that have USB ports and are small and light enough to pack in my luggage. When you visit hotels these days, access to the outlet can often be restricted, and often it is always used to power the lamp and TV. And sometimes I need to charge different devices, e.g. a backup battery for my camera, tablet/smartphone, laptop, pocket wifi, etc. I like the Woods 41029 because it's simple. You get three power outlets (with rotating protective…

Not a bulky power strip but still offers plenty of charging options

I love having this little 3 outlet surge protector. These two extra USB ports are great for making a small charging hub and support fast charging on my device. We now have so many devices that charge via USB that charging them directly via USB is much better than using regular outlets. Especially since many of these adapters are so large that they end up covering 2 slots. It also has a small protrusion on the top so it can hold your device. This can be improved by adding a rubber pad in this…

The Woods 41029 Surge Protector is a slim piece that has three outlets and two USB A ports in addition to the surge protector. Easy-pull handle for easy removal from the wall; three prongs plugged into a properly grounded wall outlet; Phone stand that you can place the device on while charging; and rotating protective caps to cover outlets when not in use. The green light indicates that the surge protector is working. This compact device measures 3.8 x 2.2 x 3.5 inches and weighs approximately…

Very handy for surge protectors

I love having three extra ports in my kitchen, and two USB ports means I can charge my phone or tablet while I'm frantically trying to follow a recipe . There is a tray at the top of the device that you can use to keep your phone (or tablet, if you have vertical clearance) out of the way while charging. When connecting to the top socket of a two-socket strip, the bottom socket can be used. The only (very minor) issue I found is that if you have one of those large panels with a switch on the…

What I don't like about the surge protector

Many of us have more cables than plugs. You will need a light plug, watch plug and plugs for anything else you might need. You'll also need plugs for your phone, kindle, or anything else you need. This plug offers you 5 sockets. You get three regular plugs and 2 USB plugs. This is great because you can charge your stuff without taking up space in an outlet. There are no connection problems. You stick the item into the wall and you're done. You get a network filter thrown in for good measure…

Cheap protection. for accessories and consumables

After losing electrical equipment to power surges (where I live the power can go out if a bird lands on a power line wrong!), I no longer use surge protectors than a toaster. This device plugs directly into an electrical outlet. It has three 120-volt outlets — of course, that doesn't mean you should plug three high-amp draw devices into just one of those devices. There are also two USB ports that can be used to charge digital devices. It's a very compact device, and the fact that it plugs…
