My general opinion is that these are very good locks. I am not a locksmith but have a lot of experience with fittings and locks. They are of good quality and work perfectly. I bought 2 keys which also have a number of 'options' such as the ability to rotate the locks 90 or 180 degrees either way depending on the hardware chosen. They also come with a range of cams. here, unless you have Craftsman 26" toolboxes. For owners of 26" Craftsman toolboxes, these locks will absolutely work. For lower/moving type cabinets, this is very easy with two small dots. 1) Use a retaining clip or original lock (if you have one) instead of a nut to hold the lock barrel in place. There isn't enough clearance to screw the nut onto the lock barrel. You can always screw a lock into a nut, but this Tightening is more difficult 2) Use a straight (not offset) cam as these lock barrels are slightly longer than the stock cylinders and the offset puts the cam "too far" into the body When installing it makes sense For one Chest top cabinet you either have to use an old cam or hammer a hook into a new one I used an old cam lock cylinder versus a screwed on ne uen. Using a grinder, grind down the rivet until you can remove the cam. Even though it looks round when riveted, when removed it has the same square mount these locks require. It may be necessary to carefully bend (do not break) the hook in the toolbox lid or bend the cam slightly to get the correct alignment. I hope this is a useful review and advice.
