Had doubts but was able to fit a 16 ounce thermos (for my soup), ceramic soup bowl (space pig), crackers and a sandwich. If it weren't for the soup bowl, a piece of fresh fruit or a can of yogurt and a can of soda would easily fit in it. Looks pretty high quality. The zipper is metal and heavy-duty (the fragile nylon zipper was the point of failure on my last lunch bag). I like having a zip pocket to store my essentials. Let's see how this bag holds up over time.
