As the title suggests, drilled a hole in a 2.5 inch thick brick wall. That's the only good thing I can say about him. From the bad: Initially when I tried to wrap it on my gazebo it was very tight. As soon as I started drilling it ruined my mandrel. The instructions stated that the pins in the mandrel were not to be used, just pushed up to the shoulder. The problem is that she removed the mandrel threads, which then required the use of pins to complete the work. It got very wobbly on the shaft when using pins. Luckily I got on well with the job, which allowed me to drill through the walls to give direction to the hole saw. Oh, another feature is that it also works backwards, which was necessary when stopping. Direct mode cutting I suspect it won't cut through fired brick, mine looks like concrete not real fired brick. Make sure the threads are fully engaged and possibly prevent stripping of the drill bow. Note: When drilling backwards, you can unscrew the drill chuck. Bottom line, I was able to cut through the brick wall to vent the dryer. Cost me $27.86 for the hole saw + $21.59 for the gazebo. If you're like me and you want a hole, go for it. Otherwise stay away.
