Imagine giving your new replacement needles to a 2 year old for a week and then seeing how they work. Spring . I'm not 2 years old but I'm a total noob when it comes to knitting and I'm probably as diligent with my tools as any 2 year old (photos are provided to prove my incompetence). My first knitting project. I used a pair of metal straight hollow needles that I inherited from my grandmother and for my second project I ordered a set of these nickel plated replacement needles. Being used to straight arm-length needles, I started attaching two shorter strings to the ends of my spare needles and then darning the ends of the strings. I quickly realized that my second project wasn't nearly as big as my first project, and that was a complete mistake. My cords and plugs were dangling everywhere, tangled in clothing, jewelry, and yarn. Not because there's anything wrong with the connectors and cables, but because I'm a VERY UNSTABLE BINDER! A week later I switched to a short cord attached to two needles and am trying to figure out how to knit braids. My tension is tighter than the Odyssey and I'm pretty sure if I had had wooden pins (regardless of brand) I would have broken them in half now but they are in great shape. One of the cables once came loose (I noticed it before it came loose because the threads on the plug are nice and long) when I was using the plugs, but it hasn't happened since and none of the parts show anything wear. I'm not an experienced knitter but I would definitely recommend this set!
