Review on 🚗 Infinity Reference REF-3032CFX 3.5 Inch 2-way Car Speakers - Pair by Mack Douglas

For reference only I consider myself to be very knowledgeable about audio products. I sincerely believe that a person should not pay money for decent sound quality. However, these speakers were a real disappointment. For reference, they were used in my truck's dash as a solid "filler" speaker system. I have a beautiful Infinity Kappa 6x9 component with squeakers in the doors that sound amazing! I use Kappa on a good Audison amp and am very happy with the sound quality. These guys just ran away from the main unit exits. They don't have an amp at all. Nothing to increase performance or anything like that. My head unit is Pioneer, nothing special. It has a regular output of 55W, which seems pretty standard. These speakers began to crackle slightly after the first month of operation. Then it got worse, and worse is all I hear. The passenger side seems to be a lot louder than the driver's side, but the fact that both do is sad to say the least. They say they max out at 75W, but I know the head unit doesn't come close. They were at half volume at best and sound like this? Terrible! I was very surprised that Infinity called these speakers a "Reference". If they were a cheaper line, fine, but not their reference line. Sorry but I figured $60 would be enough to pay for decent 3.5 inch speakers. I really don't want to spend twice as much on a Kappa 3.5, but I may have to. It seems like products are getting cheaper and cheaper, but the price we pay is going up and up. Good luck boys!
