Review on YIHUA Soldering Station Multiple Functions by Patrick Cox

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far it's been great!

This is a great tool with many benefits that you can hardly go wrong with. Maybe it would have been better if it had knobs instead of knobs to control the temperature, but the knobs are still okay and you can hold them down to change the temperature faster. Being able to calibrate temperature and switch from C to F is very useful. I've checked the temperature and it's fairly accurate out of the box, probably matches the sensor exactly, but reads about 10-20C hotter than the actual tip or nozzle. (I calibrated mine to better match the tip and air temperature just behind the nozzle.) The only real downside I can find is that while it had a lot of tips, it didn't have a shape that I felt was suitable for the most useful was . Humans (BC for soldering and 2.8mm + D tabs for general use). On the other hand, almost no iron comes with exactly what you need for a tip. Luckily, these are Hakko-style tips that you can buy pretty cheap and get exactly what you want. As advice I would recommend picking up Shape-BC instead of Shape C and Shape-2.8D and Shape-3.4D instead of the small conical tips. I think BC (cup) is always better than C (horse hoof), and some wider D (chisel) chips would be more useful to humans due to better heat transfer. lasts long!
