Buying this product online is not worth it. I bought this product and it worked flawlessly for the first 3 weeks. Now the on/off switch doesn't work and the only way to get the Cuisinart JK-17 cordless kettle to turn on is to make the switch heavier. If this was purchased from a local store I could exchange the defective item for a new one. I missed my 30-day Revain trade-in window and am stuck with an expensive product that cannot be activated. Edited 3-21-15 for clarity. Just to be clear, the product itself has great features. However, several reviewers have experienced a power button failure, an issue that makes it uncommon for Cuisinart products and makes buying online a real gamble. The power button failure should be a big problem. Cuisinart charges $15 for shipping and handling when shipping a new product, a cost that could have been avoided had it been purchased at a local department store with a typical no-hassle returns policy.
