My husband was a little confused when he opened this gift as it was clearly made on purpose. When I explained to him that it was for his ThermoPro TP08S wireless digital meat thermometer, he was hooked! This is a hard case with precision cutouts in the high density foam liner for the thermometer and receiver - they fit perfectly and as there are finger cutouts on the side they are easy to remove from the foam too. Double strong zippers that open and close very smoothly with nice big pull tabs. The handle is sewn into the case lid and looks like it will remain sewn in for the duration of use. A good oversized grip with a rubber pad to help you keep the case from bouncing off the ground. It's such a good case, I'm pretty sure the thermometer will be fine even then, although I hope we don't test it. His favorite part, however, is the mesh probe pocket, which zips completely closed so the probes don't go anywhere until you want to pull them out. Given that good thermometers don't come cheap it's unwise to spend them on their protection and I think this case is a great value.
