They work great.

So after too many years I found time to install a TV and audio system on my patio. I've done my research and I believe there are too many options for these types of adapters. The price range is also wide. My setup is a relatively new Marantz AVR, I have a pair of Definitive Technologies outdoor speakers and a Vizio P55-C1 flat screen TV. These components are set to my "Zone 2" output on my Marantz. I have a short 3ft 4K certified HDMI cable from Marantz to the first adapter. I then ran 100 inch Cat6 cable from there to the roof and then to the patio. The other end of the Cat 6 cable was then connected to the TV using a second adapter with a 3ft certified HDMI 4K cable. Once installed we can watch regular cable/satellite TV, our Roku, Blu-Ray from our various disc players, basically anything I've hooked up to the Marantz. After installing it, I ran a series of tests: Regular cable/satellite TV worked fine. As you may know, traditional TV is 720P or 1080i in most cases. The adapters worked perfectly. I then inserted a 1080P Blu-ray movie and played it on the TV. It looked great. Next, I queued up an HDR 4K Blu-Ray from my Oppo UDP-205 for testing. Now I didn't use shielded "Cat6E" cable so I didn't expect this to work. It worked flawlessly and looked amazing. The months I've had I've only had problems with the Zero, plus I think I read a review somewhere that they don't transmit sound. that's not true, they also transmit sound. I was only testing this to ensure all my audio was getting through the Marantz receiver. A few points to make sure you know in advance. Each adapter requires power, so keep that in mind. There must be an outlet near both. For the "home" side, this most likely won't be a problem as it will be somewhere near all your main viewing room equipment. For the end user you also need electricity for the second unit. Second, make sure they work in a one-way connection strategy. By this I mean they are "single-ended" since the "first" device "receives" the HDMI signal. The former has an HDMI input and then "outputs" the signal to a Cat6 cable. The Cat6 cable then passes the video/audio signal to the "input" of the second device. This device then receives the signal "fromโ€ the Cat6 cable and then "outputsโ€ it to the HDMI cable to get to the final source. Just a moment. Although I have not used Cat6E cable I would recommend you to do so. Because it is a shielded cable, you can get the best performance with these adapters. Both have "mounting brackets" for installation. Keep this in mind when going to the end of a signal. I was able to easily install a second set on our patio wall behind the TV. Stop wasting money on other adapters. This is excellent and my setup allows me to display a full bandwidth 4K HDR signal. I verified this by watching the input on my TV while watching 4K HDR discs. They will absolutely work for you and mine have been 100% reliable since I installed them.
