Supports 4K but no HDR.

Supports 4K over 50ft CAT7 but does not support HDR. It's my fault for not noticing that HDR is missing from the description but I can't give it 5 stars because I feel the description is a bit misleading as a key feature was left out. Everything else is connected and working.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No performance

HDR not working for video converter

Despite Sabrent support answering questions, this device does not support HDR. I only found out about this after many delays by Sabrent customer service for an "investigation" and wasted time getting a refund under Revain's rules. The device gets particularly hot on the receiving side. However, 4K works well from a Roku or Fire TV to a Denon AVR to a Benq 4K projector. Initial sync is slow - can take up to 30 seconds.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Video and sound cut off sometimes

Most of the time it works fine except sometimes the video and sound cut off for 5-10 seconds. The frequency of notches seems to increase over time. I originally used 50ft CAT 6 Ethernet cable and only recently upgraded to CAT 8. I think there might be a bandwidth issue, but I still see occasional video and audio dropouts. . Although it's a bit rarer and lasts less than 2 seconds. It might be worth spending a little more for a higher quality extension cord.

unfavorable. Housekeeping last resort.

It's very uncomfortable. 1900x1200 didn't work for me. 1080p does not play correctly. My HP ZR24w could not display 1080p correctly, but worked fine at 1650x1050. The RJ45 ports are slightly larger. It is very sensitive to electromagnetic interference. Illumination within hearing/visual range causes a temporary disruption in communications. I strongly recommend grounding it to reduce this. If you're short on time, not afraid to glue things in place and can't use a boosted HDMI cable, this might

So far so good good for accessories and consumables

Bought a cablematters product 3 years ago, thought it was the best extension cord and about a week ago it stopped working. So I contacted the company and as I assumed the warranty had expired. So I asked the company if they would be willing to fix it for a fee and they said no. Then they offered me to buy a new model, which I did. To my surprise it didn't work. So I went looking for a replacement and after 3 tries I came across this product. Out of the box I had my doubts, especially after the…

Save money buy another brand

We have used the 4k model in the past with excellent results. Not so much this time with the 1080P version. Bought 6 of these for TVs for a customer who had an existing Cat6 cable to the TVs. All runs up to 30 feet. Samsung TVs would sometimes pick up a signal and run for 30-60 seconds before going into static. Reset the devices and they work for a while, and then when you turn off the TV or restart the computer, turning it back on is risky. I'm out of the return window so I'm eating over 300…

Works great except when it doesn't work.

I am sending a picture from a computer less than 50 feet away to an InFocus TV via Cat6. I connected everything as instructed and the connection was great for about 20 seconds and then dropped to static with the correct screen blinking intermittently. I dropped crates for free. I restarted my computer with no success. I disconnected everything, reconnected everything and everything worked. When I started again the next Monday, the image appeared for about 20 seconds and then became static…

Video was perfect, sound didn't work

The quality of the video was high and exactly as described. Very easy to connect and work in terms of video. However I was never able to get the sound to work, at first I thought it might be defective so I asked Amazon to send a replacement but the second did the same so I just sent both of them back. I spent hours researching the issue and tried everything to get the audio to work but it never worked. I delved into the sound settings and tried everything, tried uninstalling and reinstalling…

They work great.

So after too many years I found time to install a TV and audio system on my patio. I've done my research and I believe there are too many options for these types of adapters. The price range is also wide. My setup is a relatively new Marantz AVR, I have a pair of Definitive Technologies outdoor speakers and a Vizio P55-C1 flat screen TV. These components are set to my "Zone 2" output on my Marantz. I have a short 3ft 4K certified HDMI cable from Marantz to the first adapter. I then ran 100 inch
