Easy to use, ideal for planting flower bulbs

We bought some flower bulbs to plant in the garden. Bought this instrument after spending too much time planting the first batch. Was skeptical how this would work, but other reviewers mostly seem to agree this works great. At first I wasn't sure what to expect but after the first well I drilled I was convinced. Simply attach the auger to the planter, tighten the chuck, stick the head into the ground and within a minute the first hole is ready. I was able to plant about 3 dozen bulbs in about an hour (with a short break). I will say that it takes a lot of energy. I had 2 fully charged cordless drill/driver batteries. I went through both batteries for the 3 dozen bulbs I planted. I used the big one most of the time. I had to change the batteries, probably within the first ten lightbulbs. When I switched to the second battery, as soon as it had problems I switched to a smaller auger. This helped the battery power the rest of the bulbs. Full power is the key. Once the batteries ran out, I had to push and pull up to finish the hole. The auger also causes the drill to rotate sharply if it gets stuck (as others have pointed out). It will also break through underground drain pipes (which I did). All in all a great tool.
