Would highly recommend these socks. I liked them so much I bought a second pair. I've taken half-hour or hour-long hikes in it on hot, wet, muddy trails, and even though the water was seeping into my "waterproof" boots and my feet were sweating, I didn't realize my feet were wet while I was filming Boots. They fit well, have good elasticity and stay in place. I've found them to hold up well to washing (cold gentle cycle, line dry). I like that these socks are thin for hiking in hot weather. To be honest I love these socks for hiking in any season. However, despite being wool, these aren't the kind of socks that will keep you warm in cold weather unless you're wearing multiple layers or something. Opt for thick socks if you want to stay warm and cozy.
