Review on πŸ’ Yillsen Cherry Pitter Stoner & Olive Tool - Efficient 6 Cherries Seed Remover - Vibrant Red by Jenny Oster

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A very good tool. Bad packaging.

I would give this a 5 if the first one didn't have cracks in two places. It is doubtful that this damage happened during transit as it was in a small box inside a large box with lots of other items and lots of airbags. Nothing else was damaged in the big box, but the small box was crushed in the middle. I would guess that's how it came off Revane's shelf. There is no packaging at all in the box. The replacement was poorly packaged but arrived undamaged. The corer itself worked fairly well with pie-sized (3/8"-1/2") or larger cherries. Smaller cherries are pushed into the lowest hole together with the pit. Small cherries also have many hanging pits (> 80%). That being said, it's the best option, yet quicker and easier than pitting individually (but not by much). If you have to peel both small cherries and large cherries, this is a pretty good choice. It is difficult to design a pitcher that will hold cherries of any size and hardness. This one did well compared to others.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Modern
