I bought this stand to use my laptop as an extra monitor for working from home and it works great. It's surprisingly strong for its price and was easy to assemble without tools. I use a center shelf for a laptop docking station and the desktop space below is open. My only complaint is that the monitor is placed too high, which is normal for me since I use it as a secondary monitor and not my main monitor. Monitor. The keyboard is at an unusable height, so you'll need an external mouse and keyboard unless you're using it in a standing position (it's made for DJs, so I guess that was its purpose).
