Dangerous cracks - bird claws can get caught!

Very disappointing! SECURITY THREAT! I ordered some of these for my green cheeks for her new cage. One of the first ones they sent me had cracks in the base where it connects to the cage which was a safety issue. I ordered a replacement and sent it back thinking it was a simple mistake and maybe they just didn't realize it was an ill fitting perch. Apparently not the case. When my replacement came, I was utterly horrified. This "replacement" had even more cracks, and they were big enough for the bird to get caught on its claws! I have included photos of only three of the cracks as they were the most worrisome. If a bird sits on this perch and its fingernail crawls through the gap, it has a serious chance of being caught. I can't and never will give my birds something like that. I don't understand why A&E didn't recognize the serious hazard these cracked bars can pose. And the fact that Revain is willing to hand out these ill-chosen, dangerous and potentially deadly products to loving bird owners. I've asked for a refund and I'm hoping Revain gets rid of that dangerous bass. To be clear it is the cracks that are dangerous, not the Yavana wood itself. Very very disappointing and I will not be buying any of them again unless they change the way they make their products choose. It's one thing to sell someone something, it's another to actually care about what your customer is getting. A&E doesn't seem to care. And the people at Revain need to know what kind of dangerous product they're selling. Please never give your bird a cracked roost. The photos I'm attaching show that my nails easily fit into the cracks. Birds' claws gradually thicken as they approach the living. If a bird gets its claw stuck in that gap (which can easily happen) and then becomes afraid to free itself, a lot of things can go wrong. They may bleed profusely when they end up pulling out or breaking/biting off the nail. You could break your toes or even a leg trying to free yourself. They can even die if they get stuck and fight for too long. I'm very sorry to write this, but I can't bear the thought of a bird going through such pain. And how bad will owners feel if they feed their birds this bad food? I know I would feel terrible. Protect your birds and don't use cracked perches, not just A&E perches.
