Review on GearWrench 81661 16 Inch Pattern Combination by Byron Forman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cheap as a cheap key but with the quality of a more expensive key

Little by little I bought a whole set of these keys when needed. Why? Because the price can't be beat, the quality is decent, the design is similar to more expensive wrenches and they look great. I use a lot of SnapOn and MAC tools in my work, as well as Gearwrench and other cheaper brands. While these dongles aren't exactly snap-on quality, they're very good at an insanely low price. The surface drive and feature that the tool advertises is a nice touch. It's not as effective as the snap-on version, but it does actually prevent the bolt from rounding out significantly. The extra key length is a huge bonus, adding a couple of inches over comparable cheap keys. Additionally, the overall thickness of the key is thinner than other cheaper keys, allowing you to squeeze into places you wouldn't otherwise fit. on cars. The Surface Drive Plus feature helps prevent fastener rounding, and the extra length gives you the extra leverage you need to loosen stuck lug nuts. So yes I love these wrenches for the price. If it was an $80 wrench I would probably give it 3 stars. But since it costs less than $10, it deserves a 5-star rating. You can buy 5 of these for less than 1 Snap On.
