I bought the same hard drive in the store more than 5 years ago. It has always worked (and still works) well. Heats up rarely (only with very long use). Not so long ago I discovered that when connected to a laptop, it began to make noise, but not much, almost imperceptibly. In use when connected to a computer, this was not observed. Got pros: 1.
