In 4 years of using this particular model it had to be replaced twice due to bad ballast. This unit started to degrade quickly. Okay pros that Light is really bright with its polished individual reflectors and easy access to change bulbs and easy to read digital control display makes this light really attractive I would give it 4 stars but there are 3 main problems with this light that I have personally encountered .1) The body of the mounting feet which can be slid to the desired spacing for mounting and has a screw is made out of really cheap plastic.All four foot mounting bodies had to be replaced to fully pot them with epoxy to strengthen the legs and bear the weight of the lamp.2 ) The built-in real time (U hr) on the digital display tends to lag from the actual time by 2 minutes per day. It's okay, just annoying, adjust every other day. If the timer is ignored, the lights will turn on 2 minutes earlier than the actual real time every day. 3) The most important problem is a bad ballast that failed twice in 4 years. I think in the long run it's better to look for another trusted brand than these DeepBlue t5ho Extremes for coral keeping.
