Well, I'll admit I'm one of those nerds who love a good microscope! This digital microscope from Laaguu is no exception. This handy little microscope comes with a nice stand and is literally ready to go. This works great with my MacBook Photo Booth. I open the application, plug USB and turn it on. After a few seconds it is connected and ready. The LEDs are fairly bright but have an adjustable dial. The visor reacts quite well. In the photo I took with the microscope when I was connected to the computer, there was a necklace (with round beads, so I couldn't place them horizontally) and I was holding the device, so the photo is a little blurry. The other photo shows a ceiling taken with my iPhone while using the app. This one has amazing resolution. I have another handheld LED microscope but it doesn't come close to this magnification. There are many uses for this tool other than just curiosity. For a toy, that's incredibly impressive!
