Because this product is no longer available from retailers, this fake works. You can hear a click when you start the engine. If you click me it means it's a boost. I noticed that just before I ran out of fuel it would click more frequently as the fuel ran out. I've put 2500 miles on my '86 Honda Shawdow 1100 with no fuel pump problems. Although reading other people's reviews I still worry that it will eventually fail. I almost wish there was another one on the shelf ready to be replaced. Always use premium fuel. Ethanol will degrade after 3 months and may lead to new problems. UPDATE: May 5, 2019, about 4,000 miles in service and it started breaking in Seattle freeway crash. I was able to push it and turn on the key switch to take the bike to an auto parts store and have it replaced with a stock low-pressure pump.
