Review on 🔧 Certified Black Wayne 31006-WYN2 Pump Service Part by Adam Gambel

The build quality of this cable is very good but it does NOT fit my Wayne VIP50 pump which is a few years old. The "shoulder" on the part of the cable that connects to the pump is longer than the shoulder on the original cable on my VIP50. This causes this part of the connector to protrude beyond the pump housing, so it will not create a proper watertight seal when used as a replacement for the original VIP50 cable. In my opinion, turning on this cord under such conditions and dropping it into a pond or storage tank would put the user at very serious risk of injury. I want this cable to match my pump - the pump ran fine for years and only stopped because a fox gnawed at the original cable and made it unsafe (luckily it blew the GFCI when I put it in the biofilter pond, before I realized that the cable was damaged). Do not improvise when dealing with electricity and water - make sure you have a suitable cable. This would be a great replacement cord if it would fit and I highly recommend it for any pump that will fit.
