Review on DOT Certified CRG Fiberglass Full-Face Street Bike Motorcycle Helmet - ATV-1 (With Extra Large Size) by Noe Spooner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good helmet for the price but there's a reason it's so cheap

UPDATED: I've had the helmet for a year now. After about 4-6 months of daily use, the small threaded rod holding the visor position switch fell apart. The nut on the inside of the helmet now rattles inside and won't pull out. The visor can be adjusted to hold in certain spots, but it doesn't lock into place. I've included the picture and removed a star as for the price it's still a good looking and good looking helmet. Pretty good helmet for a small price. You definitely get what you pay for. I spent a lot of money and bought an orange/red visor, it looks amazing. Verdict: It will get the job done, but you'll have to pay more for authenticity and protection. Pros: Affordable replica of the Simpson Interchangeable visors Can be seen at night with a tinted visor All round protection Slim and compact in comparison Helmet doesn't touch the mouth Chin strap has D-rings and straps Retaining latches Removable chin/neck pads in case of an accident Includes pouch with belt Cons : No under padding DOT label found, highly doubt it's DOT approved No automatic slider to switch visor between clear and tinted Visors have to be changed manually (easy but slow) Tinted visors are too expensive for the quality Two gone through distorted and a scratched "new" visor Still a little oversized side Padding could be firmer Removable chin/neck pads are not "emergency" red color for easy identification Chin strap requires different mounting position; Throat chokes if too hard when tilting head down Road noise is very common but not excessive like a half helmet Matte finish scratches easily Silver vents are fake, purely cosmetic
