The tab on the small battery door is weak and broke off on the first attempt to replace the battery. Now we can't use the thermometer anymore because the battery compartment needs to be waterproof. UPDATE: I contacted Cooper Atkins and they sent me a replacement battery cover. Your customer service is excellent. I'm glad I bought from a manufacturer that stands behind their product. However, the door remains flimsy and I broke the first replacement they sent me. I inserted the second one very, very carefully. Now that I know how fragile it is I will definitely be very careful next time I change the battery.
