Corolla 2005: A great alternative. However, the sound is at least 40% quieter.

Very good product. This is a very good alternative to FM transmitters or even at extra cost for a replacement radio. This is the advertised "CD quality" sound without the static sound of FM stations. The main problem is that the sound is very quiet compared to a real CD. or even the radio itself, it's about 5040% lower than usual. I thought it would be louder if I plugged the laptop into the AUX cable (which happens because the laptop has more power than an MP3 player), but I got the same volume, so I suspect there's a limitation in Regarding the sound, loudness is independent of the source power. I bought it just for the USB input. The USB port can read USB 2.0 devices such as USB sticks, SD card, SDHC. UP TO 16GB. It supports MP3 and WMA music formats. It can support 99 folders, each folder can store 99 music files. The playback order depends on the storage/transfer time on the USB device. (Not 100 exactly to be honest, I had to plug in a USB stick to keep it in the order I wanted. That means I had to plug it into the transmitter after transferring the whole file to keep the order me This is crucial if you are listening to lectures that are related and the order is important). In general, I'm not too upset about the volume (don't go crazy and crank the volume all the way up) or the way I have to save my MP3 files so they're in the order I want them to be. I bought it to have USB inputs with the good sound quality it came in. Even at this price I shouldn't complain too much. This adapter has saved me a lot of money when I decide to buy a new radio.
